Participants interested in presenting their recent work, either through an oral or a poster presentation, must submit an abstract. The abstract should be written in English, and respect the proposed template available on the conference management tool.
Note that on the second and the third days, the workshop will follow a more Agile Format for Oral Sessions to increase discussion time and foster interactions. Each Oral Session will start with 2 keynote presentations (one keynote from the US and one keynote from Europe) followed by short oral presentations of 3 minutes each. Each 3-minute presentation will be associated with a poster presentation and there will be a time slot at the end of the oral presentations to further discuss the short talks just presented. The topics included in this more agile format and allowing only abstract submission for a poster and a short oral talk are:
- RS and Urban Social Science Applications
- Urban Growth Monitoring in developing countries
- Using high-res commercial data in urban studies
- Urban changes impacts on environment including carbon and water cycles
All submissions should be made through the Conference Tool, completing the submission form that requires the text of the abstract in plain text, as well as in an editable file format. Please use this template for the abstract format.
Abstract submission is possible between October 15, 2019 – December 17, 2019. The abstracts will go through a standard peer review process to evaluate their relevance and scientific merit, for inclusion in the Workshop program. Authors will be notified by February 10, 2020, on the result of the peer review process. This could request modification of the abstract by the author(s) and/or suggestion for changing the presentation type from oral to a poster, or vice versa, prior to the final decision for acceptance. In case changes are suggested, the deadline for the upload of the final version of the abstract is March 30, 2020.
- New deadline : Abstract submission: until December 17, 2019
- Notification of authors: February 10, 2020
- Upload of final abstract: until March 30, 2020
